Carlsbro 75 Twin Channel Power Amp carlsbro 75 twin channel power ampdont be put off by the title, this is not a power amp in the sense that it requires a separate pre amp, its a fantastic 1970s head.it has 2 channels (not switchable) which can be bridged using a patch cable for greater tone shaping.no reverb so i used a boss reverb pedal.for me, this was an ideal head, i use an array of pedals to get my distortion sounds and the amps great clean sound took these perfectly. when i used it to record once the engineer commented it was the first time hed heard a proco turbo rat sound good. you can get lovely crunch/od sounds by using the limiter knob which i understand lowers the output in order to drive the valves.for an idea of what i recorded with it - soundcloud.com/farrsmusicfor user reviews - harmonycentral.com/products/83744 not sure what valves are in, the el84s arent branded and the 4 12ax7s dont have a noticeable branding, ive never been bothered to change them in the time ive owned it so i imaging some new valves would only make it better. also not sure what make the transformers are either.selling as my band are no more and i dont have the space to it and a cab. real shame as i love unique looking and british made amps. reply to this ad get email alerts for ads like this
