Gibson SG Standard 1965 okay so name your top 20 favourite guitar players .. there is a very very good chance (even more so if you are reading this) that a number of those guys have played / still are playing 60’s sg’s.okay so we have:eric,page,mick taylor,angusrobbie kriegerslash ??to name just a few. i’ve always wanted one of these .. have you? get one now for the price of a gibson historic … well der no brainer !made during gibson’s transitional year 1965 this guitar has some of the 64 specs .. like the bat wing small pickguard.two things have been changed on this .. the tuners are period correct but not original. the pickups have been changed to more recent gibson pickups but whoever changed them had the good sense to retain the original covers. i suspect this was done as this guitar would have probably been fitted with t tops, which when it came to re wind there are much better alternatives on the market. good job too because this just sounds like heaven …. i’m getting such a blues vibe from this thing its unreal … i guess it’s the bridge combination that gives it such a lose blues feel. think doors and mick taylor inspired stones.non original hard case. history in the shape of a guitar ?? oh yeah baby ! reply to this ad get email alerts for ads like this
